The internal quality cell was constituted in the year 2009 and held its first meeting on 21.08.2009. The main functions and objectives of the IQC are as follows:
To maintain and improve the internal quality services of the college.
Organization of discussions, workshops and seminars.
To identify the quality benchmarks and to develop them.
Organization of extension programmes.
The IQC has undertaken several activities since inception.
Groupwise mentoring of the students was undertaken.
Attendance statements of the students are recorded and provided bi-monthly to the office by the different departments.
Examination system was revamped. The different departments now maintain their question banks and submit soft as well as hard copies of question papers for internal exams. The departments also submit marks in soft and hard copies.
Surveillance cameras have been fitted in the corridors to discourage crowding of corridors for the smooth conduct of classes, and at the main entrances.
Special cleaning drives are organized from time to time.
Poster campaign was organized to spread cleanliness awareness.
