DBCT Students welcomed the Rector Major at Damra

 

*Two hundred and twelve students of the college joined the province of Guwahati to welcome the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco who visited the Northeast for the first time. The programme was organized at Don Bosco School, Damra – Assam on 11th November 2017.

*The students left the college in four buses at 5:00 am and reached the venue of the programme at 8:00 am. The students interacted with the Rector Major and showed their love for the successor of Don Bosco who came all the way from Rome, Italy to the Northeast.

*It was a day to remember for many of the students of the college as they met the Rector Major. Some expressed that the meeting was like meeting Don Bosco himself, the educator Saint of the young who started the Salesian congregation catering to education of the poor youth and spreading its wings to 132 countries of the world.

*They students were involved in singing the welcome song and the choir during the programme. The students wholeheartedly welcomed the Rector Major. The students returned back to the college at 3:30 pm after the end of the programme.
