NCC Cadets cleaning Drive

The NCC wing of Don Bosco College, Tura participated in a mass cleaning drive, organized by District Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), on 28^th July 2018 at 7.00 am in three picnic spots (Chibagre, Ganol Alovera and Mesak Dare picnic spot) under Rongram C&RD Block, West Garo Hills, Tura Meghalaya, with the aim to maintain Plastic free zone in the picnic spots. The total strength of the cadets involved in the mass cleaning was forty.

The cleaning drive was part of the initiative taken by the Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills Shri Ram Singh IAS who invited educational institutions and local people to join hands to make the surrounding clean and green.

The cadets armed with cleaning materials joined the local people to clean up the picnic spots. Later the District Administration thanked the college and the cadets for sparing their valuable time to help in the cleaning. The cadets will be given a certificate acknowledging their participation in the initiative.
