CLOSING CEREMONY OF ANNUAL COLLEGE WEEK

The  Closing  Ceremony  of  Don  Bosco  College  Week, 2019  began  with  a  Prayer  Dance  performed  by  Jasmine  Sylnera  Marak  and  group, which  was  followed  by  a  Scriptural  reading  from  the  Holy  Bible  by  Pangrangchi  Marak. The  Principal, Rev. Fr. Bivan  Rodriques  Mukhim, in  his  speech also  welcomed  the Chief  Guest  Smt. Rikse  R.  Marak, MCS, Director (Administration  and  Accreditation), MBOSE, the  Guest  of  Honour Dr. Binu  Mathew, Department  of  Rural  Development  and  Agricultural Production (RDAP), and  Rev. Fr. Francis  Cheeranbeen, Director, DBC, Higher  Secondary  Section.

The  Chief  Guest   and  the  Guest  of  Honour  were  presented  with  bouquets  of  flowers, mementos  and  the  College  scarves, and  Rev. Fr. Francis  was  presented  with  the  College scarf. The  winners  of  the  Singing  and  Dancing  Competition  performed   during  the  function.

The  Guest  of  Honour  Dr. Binu  Mathew in  his  speech  appreciated  the  Principal  for  organizing  the  Annual  College  Week  which  helped  the  students  to  showcase  their  hidden  talents. The  Prize  Distribution  Ceremony  took  place  for  the  winners  in  Academics  and  Cultural  Events, Outdoor,  Indoor  Events  and  Track  and  Field  Events.

The Chief Guest Smt. Rikse R.  Marak  delivered  an  inspiring  speech  in  which  she  stressed  on  the  importance  of  hard  work  to  excel  in  life.

The  Best  House  and  The  Best  Participants of  the  College  Week’s  various  Competitions, 2019  were  declared  by  the  Principal,  and  the  Chief  Guest  distributed  the  prizes  to  the  winners. This  was  followed  by  the  lowering of  the  College  Week  flag  by  the  Chief  Guest, and  the  stowing  of  the  flag  by  the  Principal  in  the  presence  of  the  House  Captains.

Prof. Nicholas M.  Sangma (Coordinator, Games and Sports) delivered the vote of thanks. The function ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
