Homage to Don Bosco on Bosco Jayanti

31st January is a special day for the Don Bosco institutions all over the world. It is the death anniversary of St. John Bosco, the founder of the Salesian Congregation. It is a day of thanksgiving to God by the Congregation and everyone associated with it for the ‘wonders’ that God has wrought through St. John Bosco.
The faculty of Don Bosco College, Tura along with a few students gathered in front of the statue of Don Bosco to pay homage and “sing the praises of the father of all youth”.  They invoked Don Bosco to be with them, to watch over them and to be their model. The short ceremony began with prayers and reading from the Bible. A short reflection based on 1 Corinthians: 13 reminded the teachers that love is paramount in education and Don Bosco was the greatest example of this. The highlight of the ceremony was the floral tribute offered by the Management, the teachers, non-teaching staff and students. Fr. (Dr.) Abhilash V. J. conceived and conducted the programme. The ceremony concluded with tea-party.
