Department of Garo, Don Bosco College, Tura organised the webinar on “The International Mother Tongue Day in  collaboration with A·chik Literature Society, Tura and Department of Garo, NEHU Tura Campus, Tura on 21^st February, 2022. On the occasion, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, the Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura, Dr. Fameline K. Marak, Head, Department of Garo, NEHU Tura Campus, Tura and Prof. Caroline R. Marak, President of A·chik Literature Society spoke on the significance of the occasion. On the theme,Language, Literature and Cultureof the indigenous people and tribals of North-East India and Bangladesh, different writers presented fourteen papers including the people of Bangladesh, i.e. Dr. Crystal Cornelius D. Marak, Mr. Badhon Arengh, Prof. Caroline R. Marak, Mr. Basan R. Marak, Ms. Anitha Ch. Momin, Dr. Dokatchi Ch. Marak, Dr. Jacqueline R. Marak, Dr. Dorothy R. Marak, Mr. Angrak A·we, Mr. Jangku D. Sangma, Dr. Barbara S. Sangma, Lorinda D. Marak, Dr. Fameline K. Marak and Mr. Colnat B. Marak.
