Revisiting Prosody: One-day Regional Workshop

In a bid to enhance the teaching-learning quality of the language and literature teachers, a One-day Regional Workshop was organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Garo of Don Bosco College, Tura. It was conducted on 18^th March, 2022 under the title “Revisiting Prosody” as it was not altogether a new topic but rather a revisit, relook and revision of a rather familiar subject.

Twenty (20) teachers from various colleges and Higher Secondary Schools of Tura participated and discussed Prosody especially with reference to Garo poetry. Prof. Fameline K. Marak, Head, Department of Garo, NEHU, Tura Campus, Tura, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal of Don Bosco College and Dr. Meuller Beul M. Sangma, Asisstant Coordinator, IQAC-Don Bosco College, Tura spoke during the Inaugural and Valedictory Functions.

Dr Barbara S. Sangma, IQAC Coordinator-Don Bosco College Tura was the Resource person of the workshop. The participants were awarded certificates during the Valedictory function.
