Don Bosco College came together on the evening of August 31st, 2023, to bid an emotional farewell to Dr. Ratan Chakraborty, a revered figure in the academic community. The farewell event, held at 5:30 PM in the Bosco Hall, was a testament to the impact Dr. Chakraborty had on the college and its students throughout his tenure.
Dr. Lilybell Ch. Marak, the Head of the Department of Botany, began the evening by sharing her heartfelt experiences of working with Dr. Ratan. With deep gratitude, she spoke about how his guidance had been instrumental in her growth as an academic and an individual. Dr. Marak's sentiments were echoed by many, underlining the profound influence Dr. Chakraborty had on both faculty and students.
Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal, expressed his gratitude for Dr. Ratan Chakraborty's contributions, not only to Don Bosco College but also to the larger community of Garo Hills. Fr.
