In a display of exceptional skill and dedication, cadets from Don Bosco College (DBC) have emerged as frontrunners at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-63), organized by the 41 Meghalaya Battalion National Cadet Corps (NCC) under the umbrella of NCC Group Shillong. The ten-day event, which ran from September 18 to September 27, 2023, witnessed the cadets' outstanding performance in various categories.

Among the accolades secured by DBC were the first position in Best Firer (SD) and the first position in Best Turn Out Cadet 2023. Additionally, the institution clinched the second position in Best Drill (SW), solidifying their reputation for excellence in NCC training.

The closing ceremony at ISBT, Tura, was marked by a stunning cultural performanc

Throughout the camp, the cadets underwent a rigorous regimen of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on drills encompassing a wide array of subjects, including weapon handling, map reading, marching, disaster management, first aid, health and hygiene, cyber security, fire safety, and insights into career opportunities within the defense forces.

As part of their immersive training experience, the cadets paid a visit to the Kalipara War Memorial at the Border Outpost of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Dalu. Here, they had the opportunity to witness an impressive display of weaponry, gaining valuable insights into the nation's defense history.

Distinguished figures, including the Deputy Commissioner of Tura and eminent professors from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), delivered motivational talks, offering valuable perspectives on leadership and personal growth. To further foster holistic development, a personality development workshop was conducted by accomplished NCC alumni.
