Fifth Late Adin Rongmei Memorial Inter-Class Basketball Tournament Concludes.

 

The Fifth Late Adin Rongmei Inter-Class Basketball Tournament came to a thrilling end on October 9, 2023, amidst a glittering ceremony organized jointly by the Sports and Games Committee of the College and the SWA Sports and Games Secretaries.

 

The event, held at the College premises, witnessed a distinguished gathering of students, faculty, and sports enthusiasts. Rev Fr Andreas Panna SDB, the Spiritual Director of the Don Bosco Centre for Learning (DBCL), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In an inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and the value of acknowledging both victory and defeat.

 

Principal of the College, Rev Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, highlighted the significance of curricular and co-curricular activities, affirming their integral role in the holistic development of students.

 

Dr. Barbara S Sangma, IQAC Coordinator, extended a warm welcome to all present, setting the tone for the evening's proceedings. The event was further dignified by the presence of Rev Fr John Paul Tirkey, Vice Principal.

 

The climactic final match unfolded with a face-off between the Fifth Semester BA – Shift II students and the First Semester BA – Shift I Students in the Boys Category. The fierce competition culminated in a victory for the Fifth Semester BA Students, who emerged as the undisputed champions.

 

In the Girls Category, the game was played between the Fifth Semester Section A – Shift II students and Fifth Semester Section B – Shift II students, showcasing incredible skill and determination. After a closely contested match, the winners were ultimately decided, each receiving a medal, certificate, and a well-deserved trophy in recognition of their exceptional performance.
