Don Bosco College, Tura Hosts Departmental Seminar on Student-Teacher Relationships and Parental Involvement in Education.

 

The Department of Education organized a one-day Departmental Seminar on "The Role of Student-Teacher Relationships in Academic Success" and "The Importance of Parental Involvement in Education" on November 7, 2023, at the Bosco Hall. The event was a resounding success, providing students with a platform to explore specific topics and improve their research and presentation skills.

 

The Departmental Seminar is considered one of the most vital programs conducted by the Department of Education each academic year. This year's seminar focused on two crucial themes: the impact of student-teacher relationships on academic success and the role of parental involvement in education.

 

The seminar was divided into two sessions, each dedicated to one of the two topics. The sessions featured engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations created and delivered by students. These presentations allowed students to exhibit their analytical and communication skills while delving into the theoretical and practical aspects of the subjects.

 

Key figures in the academic community graced the event with their presence, sharing their valuable insights and experiences. The Principal of Don Bosco College, Rev Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, the IQAC Coordinator Dr. Barbara S Sangma, and the Head of the Department, Dr. Uma Roy Bhowmik, offered their wisdom and knowledge during the seminar.

 

The seminar aimed to deepen students' understanding of the selected topics, providing them with a strong foundation in their respective fields. It not only enhanced their academic knowledge but also sparked curiosity and a thirst for lifelong learning among the participants.
