Final Semester History Students Embark on Educational Tour to East Sikkim and Gangtok.

In a bid to enhance their understanding of historical landscapes and cultures, the Final Semester students of the History Department embarked on an educational journey to East Sikkim and the enchanting city of Gangtok. The study tour, which commenced on January 11, 2024, aimed to provide a hands-on learning experience for the students during their study leave.

Accompanied by teachers, the group delved into the rich historical tapestry of the region, exploring significant sites and immersing themselves in the cultural diversity that East Sikkim and Gangtok have to offer. The students had the unique opportunity to witness the living history of the area, complementing their academic knowledge with real-world experiences.

The endeavor was made possible through the support of the District Administration in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya, which partly financed the study tour. The financial assistance from the District Administration not only facilitated the students' travel and accommodation but also underscored the importance of community collaboration in fostering educational initiatives.
