FRESHERS’ SOCIAL 2018

The Freshers’  Social  was  organized  on  14^th July, 2018  at  the  College  amphitheatre  for  the  batch  of  2018. The  programme  started  with  Veronica  and  friends  performing  the  prayer  song, which  was  followed  by  a  welcome  speech  delivered  by  Patia  K.  Marak, the SWA  Vice – President.

The  Principal,  Rev. Fr. Bivan  Rodriques  Mukhim  in his  speech  welcomed  the  freshers  to  the  College. He congratulated the Science and Commerce departments for the good results and said that the college gave the best to the students. He encouraged the students to give their 100 percent to their studies and wished that the best they gave will be the best that they receive back.

Rev.Fr. George Plathottam, Rector, and Dr. Uma  Bhowmik  also  addressed  the gathering, welcoming the  newcomers on this  joyful  occasion. The  seniors performed  a  variety  of  dances  including  the  Kokborok  dance by Antar  and  his  friends, dance  performances  presented  by Roster  and  his  group, the  students  of  5^th Semester  B.Sc, the 3^rd  Semester  B.Sc , Louisa and her group, 3^rd Semester  B.Com,  3^rd Semester B.A,  and  Soubori  and  her  friends.The  DBC  Choir  presented  a  fitting  song  for  the  programme. Some  entertaining  games  were  also  organized  by  the  SWA  members  for  the  freshers  in  which  two  students  were  selected  as  Mr  Fresher  and  Miss  Fresher  of  the  College.The  programme  came  to  an  end  with  the  vote  of  thanks  delivered  by  Giting  Rani  R. Marak.
